When you restart Windows Explorer, you’ll notice a warning message stating that it must download some files, but you can’t wait until it completes that stage. When everything has been completed, restart your PC. For added functionality, you may also copy the DLL into a few other places (check the details on the main Github page), but this one location is enough to see if it’s for you. To do this, simply grab the dxgi.dll file from the Releases section of the Github project and copy it into your C:Windows directory. If you want to stay connected to Windows 10, then you should probably not install Windows 11 from the start.ĭespite this, if you’ve already upgraded and shifting the taskbar to the right isn’t enough for you, you may check out the Github page in question to download the DLL needed to give your Windows 11 installation a backgrade to what you presumably know and love. This seems counterproductive considering that there aren’t too many changes to Windows 11 over Windows 10. This also gives you the possibility to move your taskbar to the top, right, or right of your screen. This project aims to replace the Windows 11 taskbar and start menu with one that is more comparable to the Windows 10 equivalent. One Valentin-Gabriel Radu has traveled to Github to develop an Explorer Patcher for Windows 11 (via Igor’s Lab). (Some of us have had to do it.) But nothing compares with what they see. Of course, a lot of these things have changed drastically. There are plenty of clever ideas with Microsoft’s latest to make us think that Windows 11 will be no different. We don’t think we’d recommend doing it yet. It may be downloaded and installed, and you may be able to relax in the all too familiar glow of a completely new OS. Now you may easily move the taskbar back to the side.
